About JESS
Jess grew up in Northamptonshire and started her musical journey from a young age, learning the piano from the age of 6, followed by the French horn and violin in her later years.
Jess grew up attending the local music trust, NMPAT - Northamptonshire Music Performing Arts Trust, county concert bands and orchestras and played to a high standard at various iconic venues including the Royal Albert Hall, Festival Hall & more.
Jessica went on to study classical voice and gained her BMus (Hons) at The University of Huddersfield, under the direction of Paul Wade, Opera North. Whilst at university Jess sang chorus with the Opera North company, the Hallé Choir & the Huddersfield Choral Society. She went on to gain her post-graduate in Education at Northampton University.
Jessica has worked as a choir leader, freelance singer, performer and teacher for the past 20 plus years. Her personal career highlights include supporting Coldplay on the One Show, supporting Russell Watson, singing at the BBC Proms in the park, singing at iconic arenas including the O2 and the NIA and many more amazing experiences.
Jess has led her various choirs to sing at iconic venues including the Royal Albert Hall, the Mercedes Benz arena , Berlin as part of the World Peace Concert, Carnegie Hall, NYC, Paris Disneyland. She has led various choir tours abroad including Paris, Berlin, Salzburg, New York and a a very special trip to South Africa to meet & sing with the Soweto Choir!
Jess is passionate about making singing accessible to everyone, creating a welcoming and inclusive space where people feel confident and free to use their voice. She loves leading choirs and empowering others to achieve things they never thought possible.
With a deep appreciation for the holistic and healing power of music, Jess brings people together through song—helping them connect, grow, and experience the many benefits of singing in harmony.
